VFW Post 2872, 835 Sunset Drive, Athens, GA

🚗 PARKING

Overflow parking is available at Jefferson Professional Park next door and at Bishop Park. Please leave the closest spots for our participants with mobility needs — and get there early, spots fill up! Also, follow the guidance or ACCPD as they monitor the VFW entrance and exit for our safety.

🌤️ WEATHER

Expect a warm, mostly cloudy morning in the low-to-mid 70s with a chance of rain (about 35%). We race rain or shine — the only thing that will stop us is lightning in the area. Sunscreen, a hat, and water are your friends — dress light and layer if needed.

We've got you covered with snacks before AND after the race, generously provided by our sponsor, Trader Joe's!

💧 WATER ON THE COURSE

Water stations are set up at the VFW start/finish and at the intersection of Sunset/Millard, which you'll pass twice on the course — stay hydrated out there!

🗺️ COURSE MAP & DIRECTIONS

Our Lead Bike will guide the way, and the course is fully marked with signage so you always know where to go. Full turn-by-turn directions below. There will be a sign on site as well.

⏱️ TIMING

This year's race is manually timed — so listen for instructions from our team at the start and finish lines.

🎽 SWAG & MEDAL

After you cross the finish line, hang on to your bib! You'll turn in the tear strip to collect your race swag and medal.

📊 RESULTS

Results will be posted online, or text R + your bib number to 49515 to get yours. We'll get results entered as soon as humanly possible after the race — thanks for your patience!

🚻 RESTROOMS

Restrooms are located inside the VFW.

🎒 BELONGINGS

We do not offer bag or gear check, and we're not able to be responsible for personal belongings — please plan accordingly.

●     Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
