OUR Story
Experience. Impact. Repeat.
Rock x Run started as a idea to raise funds for community work in Athens, GA. Initially intended to fund music and arts, a pivot was made in 2024 to support the Athens Tech Foundation.

The Myrestine S. Malloy Scholarship for Women in Auto was established to honor the strength, resilience, and quiet leadership of Myrestine S. Malloy—an Athens, Georgia native and the first woman to complete the Auto Body Repair program at Athens Technical College in 1980. A trailblazer in her own right, Mrs. Malloy’s legacy continues through this scholarship, which supports women pursuing careers in the auto collision repair industry. Her determination to break barriers and her unwavering belief in the power of education serve as the foundation for this initiative.
This scholarship provides financial support to women enrolled in the Auto Collision Repair program at Athens Technical College. New students may receive assistance with the cost of required tools, while continuing students who meet academic requirements may receive support for textbooks and materials. By lessening financial burdens, the scholarship empowers women to thrive in a traditionally male-dominated field, honoring Mrs. Malloy’s legacy by opening doors for the next generation of skilled technicians.
